IDENTIFICATION & CLASSIFICATION OF WILD EDIBLES - $80
In this beginner's module, you will learn about wild edibles as they grow in your local ecosystem, identify, differentiate and classify plant life based on the appearance, growing cycle, terrain location, toxicity and its edible portion. Learn how to identify poisonous species of plants and mushrooms. Learn which edibles can be harvested in its best season. Learn medicinal use for emergencies and wilderness survival applications. You will maintain a foraging discovery journal and learning diary throughout this course.

This course has 8 hours of online instruction time, 2 hours of a live video assessment, a mid-test and final test. Supplemental reading is required for this course at an additional cost.

FORAGING APPLICATIONS - $120
This module is for intermediates who have a foundational base in foraging and want to gain additional insight in applying and using a variety of foraged edibles in multiple ways. You will learn how to properly dehydrate mushrooms, wild herbs and wild fruit for future use, how to make preserves from wild berries and fruits and how to make a meal for your family by cooking what you have foraged in the wild. Small game enthusiasts will enjoy how to track small animals by observing the wild edibles they eat and learn how to trap rabbits, quail and squirrels by using foraged bait. You will maintain a foraging journal and build cookbook recipes throughout this course.
