Our academy is here to provide individuals with benchmark training in survival skills from qualified professionals and certified trainers specialized in broadening our student's readiness to thrive.
ONGOING CLASSES
FOOD PRODUCTION
I, II, III & IV
Learn the skills necessary to produce your own food in every season of the year; from soil preparation to seeding in Spring, watering and pest control in Summer, harvesting and cooking in Autumn and indoor gardening, food preservation and food storage in Winter - plus many other factors including composting, crop selection, differences in growing regions, weather conditions, pollinators and garden allies.
URBAN PREPPING STRATEGIES
I & II:
Learn how to fortify your home, stock up on supplies and train the members of your household to various survival team tasks in an urban setting. Coursework includes prepping your urban home for fire, natural disasters, future pandemics and societal upheaval; planning and routing your household to evacuate the city; and growing food within limited space.
DEFENSIVE FIGHTING STYLES
I & II:
Learn how your body is the primary weapon; study the critical targets on the human body; gain awareness of your surroundings; know how to gain assistance from others; learn how not to be a soft target; study various fighting styles and evasive maneuvers; and learn the use of small hand-held weapons.
BUSHCRAFTING
I, II, & III:
Learn basic survival skills when in a natural setting or outdoor environment including: creating shelter from raw materials; how to find and source water; how to make a productive fire by gathering select wood, constructing a campfire and making a firewall; study basic animal tracking, trapping, fishing and hunting; and know how to navigate yourself without a map.
ARCHERY
I, II, III:
Study archery and its precepts on beginning, intermediate and advanced levels including targeting; bowhunting and bowfishing; the various types of bows; how each bow may be suitable for different uses; learn arrow dynamics; know the correct posture and form to maintain before making a shot; learn how to aim, release, shoot and hit your proposed target; study all of the safety guidelines that must be in use while on the archery range.
FIREARMS TRAINING
I, II, III:
Study the various types of firearms and their corresponding ammo; learn which firearm is best for which situation; practice in real-life scenarios in both tactical warfare and home protection; learn proper loading, maintenance and storage of a firearm; and discover how firearms are used for hunting wild game including which firearm is appropriate for hunting which wild game.
HERBOLOGY
I, II, & III:
Learn the historical and practical uses of herbs; know how to categorize herbs based on their benefits; study which herbs grow best in which climates; learn to grow your own herbs from seed; know how to take herbs in their raw form to make teas, powders, capsules, tinctures, waxes for candles and oils for aromatherapy, hair, body and facial applications and deep tissue massage.
FORAGING EDIBLES
I & II:
Study wild edibles as they grow in your local ecosystem; differentiate which plants are beneficial and which ones are not; identify poisonous plants and mushrooms; study which edibles grow in different seasons; learn how to cook wild edibles for your family meal; create your own plant diary as you explore; and learn how to track and trap animals that feed on specific plants.
FISHING BASICS
I, II & III:
Learn the skill and art of baiting, casting, playing, catching, cleaning and cooking fish in the wild. Coursework includes matching bait to specific species of fish, live bait vs. imitations, matching line to fish species, how to fish in various environments including lake, river, deep sea and ice fishing. Study traditional, primitive and survival methods to fishing and the "tools" of the trade.
DOG OBEDIENCE SCHOOL
I, II & III:
Learn with your pet as they learn alongside you. Study instinctive behavior among dogs including hierarchal structures among canines, which breed of dog is best for which task: guard dog, hunting dog or rescue dog, and strategies to incorporate training throughout the day. This hybrid course works in sync with your pets' rate of learning. Skills acquired must be consistent with every member of the household so learning can be optimized.
